The music industry is a mess, and most streamers funnel money upwards to platform owners, not artists. I’m honored to be included in the library’s inaugural edition that provides artists with an honorarium and shares curated local musical selections with the public in a contemporary streaming format.
SFPL never asked for exclusivity, but I really drag my feet in releasing music, so this is a great way to share my work while I shop it out to labels, etc.
P.S. Anyone with a California ID can get an SFPL library card! (but you do have to show up in person at least once)
